Description

The Drake LXR.2+2 827 is a premium raised 4-seater electric golf cart built for users who want more ground clearance, more passenger capacity, and confident performance beyond standard paved paths. Drake presents it as a model made to conquer lodge roads and trails, while the LX Series is described as the brand’s flagship range with bold styling, lithium-ion power, and AC drive technology.

Drivetrain: The cart is powered by a 5kW AC motor paired with a 350Amp motor controller, helping deliver enhanced torque on hills and when carrying passengers or extra load. Its AC drive technology also supports regenerative braking for improved efficiency during operation.

Suspension: The front suspension uses an independent McPherson setup with upper and lower A-arms, coil springs, and hydraulic shock absorbers, while the rear uses coil springs and hydraulic shock absorbers to help provide a smoother ride on uneven terrain.

Steering: It features a self-compensating double reduction helical rack-and-pinion steering system for controlled handling and stable maneuverability.

Chassis: The chassis is built from redesigned welded high-yield strength steel beams that are galvanised and powder coated to improve durability and long-term corrosion resistance.

Batteries: The LXR.2+2 827 uses a LiFePO4 lithium battery pack with high-discharge current up to 300A for 30 seconds and continuous discharge up to 150A. Drake also states that the battery is fitted with an automotive-grade BMS for added protection and battery management.

Charger: It comes with a 1200W rapid onboard automatic charger for convenient recharging.

Brakes: The cart is fitted with an all-wheel hydraulic braking system using automobile-style brake discs and pads for strong braking performance and long-term reliability. Drake also notes that the automatic e-parking brake replaces the conventional parking brake for more convenient parking.

Mirrors: Side mirrors are included to support safer driving on private estate roads.

Lights: LED headlights and taillights with front and rear indicators improve visibility and day-to-day usability.
