Description

The Drake LXU.2 827 is a purpose-built 2-seater utility golf cart designed for practical work across estates and commercial properties. Drake describes it as built tough for light-duty hauling on varied terrain, and places it within its LX Series utility range for lodges, farms, workshops, warehouses, landscaping, and similar environments.

Drivetrain: The cart is powered by a 5kW AC motor paired with a 350Amp motor controller, helping it deliver enhanced torque on hills and under load. Its AC drive technology also supports regenerative braking for improved efficiency during operation.

Suspension: The front suspension uses an independent McPherson setup with upper and lower A-arms, coil springs, and hydraulic shock absorbers, while the rear uses coil springs and hydraulic shock absorbers to help maintain a smoother ride across mixed working surfaces.

Steering: It features a self-compensating double reduction helical rack-and-pinion steering system for controlled handling and stable maneuverability.

Brakes: The LXU.2 827 is fitted with an all-wheel hydraulic braking system using automobile-style brake discs and pads for strong braking performance and long-term reliability. Drake also notes that the e-brake replaces the conventional parking brake for more reliable and convenient parking.

Batteries: The cart uses a LiFePO4 lithium battery pack with high-discharge current up to 315A for 30 seconds and continuous discharge up to 120A. Drake also states that the battery is fitted with an automotive-grade BMS.
