Description

The Drake LX.2+2 827 is a stylish 4-seater electric golf cart built for users who want extra passenger capacity, smooth electric performance, and refined estate-ready design. Drake presents the LX Series as its flagship range, known for bold styling, lithium-ion power, and AC drive technology, while the LX 827 model range is described as being built for quiet, confident movement through estates.

Drivetrain: The cart is powered by a 5kW AC motor paired with a 350Amp motor controller, helping it deliver strong torque on hills and under load. Its AC drive technology also supports regenerative braking for improved efficiency during use.

Suspension: The front suspension uses an independent McPherson setup with upper and lower A-arms, coil springs, and hydraulic shock absorbers, while the rear uses coil springs and hydraulic shock absorbers to help provide a smoother ride.

Steering: It features a self-compensating double reduction helical rack-and-pinion steering system for controlled handling and stable maneuverability.

Chassis: The chassis is built from redesigned welded high-yield strength steel beams that are galvanised and powder coated to improve durability and long-term corrosion resistance.

Batteries: The LX.2+2 827 uses a LiFePO4 lithium battery pack with high-discharge current up to 300A for 30 seconds and continuous discharge up to 150A. Drake also notes that the system is fitted with an automotive-grade BMS.

Charger: It comes with a 1200W rapid onboard automatic charger for convenient charging.

Brakes: The cart is fitted with a hydraulic braking system using automobile-style brake discs and pads, while the e-brake replaces the conventional parking brake for more reliable and convenient parking.

Mirrors: Side mirrors are included to support safer driving on private roads within estates.

Lights: LED headlights and taillights with indicators for the front and rear improve visibility and everyday usability.
